Jamey Aebersold, internationally known saxophonist and authority on Jazz education and improvisation will be performing and giving workshops in WNC and Anderson, SC the week of October 12-16.

Elise Pratt of Hendersonville, having attended the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops for the past two years at University of Louisville in KY, invited him to our area to participate in our growing jazz scene by setting up up a series of performances and workshops. Jamey said YES!

Elise, herself a jazz singer and devotee of creating opportunities for jazz to be appreciated, (from her NYC jazz club in the late 70’s to her current efforts locally in WNC as performer, promoter and producer of jazz events) …has been elated at the response of our community to support the visit of this icon of the jazz world.
