3rd Annual Benefit for Eblen Charities
Celebrate the holiday season with some of the region’s best artists and musicians.
Bioflyer Productions presents its 3rd Annual Asheville Faerie Arts Festival on November 14, held once again in the beautiful ballroom of the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Asheville.
The daytime segment, held from 2-6 p.m., is family friendly, featuring storytelling, costumes, a magic show, Whee Ahh Faerie Kin, life-size sculptures by Marcie The Balloon Fairy, an inflated castle bouncer, and more!
The evening segment (7-11 p.m.) is adult themed and features the popular world music of Juan Benavides Group, plus Sarah Merrell’s Body Art/Painting Fashion Show, organic chocolate, and crafts by wonderful local artisans. The all day event is sponsored by Wicked Weed Brewing of Asheville and is an annual fundraiser for Eblen Charities, one of the area’s most generous family service organizations.
In the words of internationally acclaimed faerie artist, Brian Froud, “To dress as a faerie, donning wings, is to actively join in the dance, to be connected to creative spirit. Graceful or ecstatic dance; the radiant, rhythmic heartbeat; friendship; music; all these move easily across the boundaries, transcending language, race, and time.”
Bioflyer Productions has a ten year history of mounting unique and progressive entertainment, ranging from Broadway musicals to original rock musicals, talent competitions, and most recently the local food competition Pizza Pandemonium at Highland Brewery. Artistic Director, Rock Eblen, continues to feature all his productions as fund raisers for The Eblen Charities.
