April means Spring, and Spring means the refreshing, beautiful weather in Western North Carolina.
The area enjoys pleasant temperatures and fantastic vistas, skies, and some of the most comfortable weather to be experienced.
Artists in the River Arts District find natural inspiration in such an environment, and this month’s feature brings some creative examples of that. We appreciate local and touring visitors to the area and know you will find some uplifting, fantastic art to enjoy. Original art makes great gifts for home and special occasions in our lives.

This en plein air study of clouds followed a massive rainstorm. I wanted to capture the light and shadow on the diminishing ominousness of the clouds, and the emerging sunlight on the hills viewed from Beaver Lake. Visit Riverview Station, Soul Sidewalk, 191 Lyman Street, upstairs south, Studio #213.
