Dining Out For Life looks a little different this year. But you can still support local restaurants AND support WNCAP during the COVID-19 crisis. Dine IN For Life on Thursday, April 29!
Asheville, NC: Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, WNCAP will not be holding a traditional Dining Out For Life event in 2021. However, in collaboration with Asheville Independent Restaurants (AIR), WNCAP is encouraging the whole WNC community to Dine IN For Life (DIFL) on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
Once again supported by Presenting Sponsor Prestige Subaru, Dine IN For Life is simple: On Thursday, April 29, support local Participating Restaurants – through takeout, delivery, dine-in, or gift card options. A full list of DIFL Participating Restaurants can be found at wncap.org/DIFL.
Then, donate to WNCAP to help maintain their HIV prevention, care and harm reduction services. COVID-19 has pushed demand for WNCAP services to an all-time high. In the midst of the pandemic, people with compromised immune systems have been forced to stop working and stay indoors. Over the past year, requests for emergency financial assistance, food delivery, and harm reduction services have skyrocketed even as other community resources have dried up.
Since 1986, WNCAP has relied on community support to continue their operations. But now, during the COVID-19 crisis, individual donations are more valuable than ever. If you would like to donate to WNCAP, please visit wncap.org/donate.
Anyone who donates to WNCAP between now and April 30 will be automatically entered into a raffle for three great prizes, including an Asheville “Staycation”, a private film screening at the Grail Moviehouse, or a $500 cash card courtesy of Mosaic Realty. Anyone who posts a selfie with their lifesaving meal and tags @wncap on social media will also be entered into the raffle!
WNCAP is not asking for donations from Participating Restaurants this year. Instead, they are requesting the community support local restaurants that have collectively donated millions of dollars to WNCAP and other nonprofits over the years. Local independent restaurants are the backbone of the WNC community and they need community support right now – and we ALL need a good meal!
