International Festival of Magic
For three wondrous days, downtown Asheville will come alive with magic, mystery and enchantment.
The Weekend of Wonder takes place Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4. A dream team of master magicians will present a dazzling showcase of stage and street magic, close-up, one-man shows, lectures, workshops and all-star galas.
World renowned magicians, Jay Scott Berry and Maxwell Blade teamed up to produce this historic event. They will be joined by a host of international stars including, award-winning wizard, Jeff McBride, world champion close-up artist, Michael Ammar, and magical minstrel, Andrew Goldenhersh.
Featured artists include Asheville magicians, “MagicBrad” and TJ Shimeld, Charlotte’s Chastain Criswell, and, from Dallas, the Serpentine Sorcerer, Daryl Sprout. Local celebrity and magic shop owner, Ricky Boone, the festival’s guest of honor, will also perform and lecture.
Tickets for the Weekend of Wonder start at $10, and many of the shows are free! Ticket packages are $150 for adults, and $100 for children under 17. Packages include reserved VIP seating to 10 of the major shows and events.

The Theatre of Illusion is a unique fusion of magic and illusion, humor and mystery, and persona and personality that inspires viewers with a sense of wonder, using magic like a storyteller uses words. Comprised of husband and wife duo Kevin and Cindy, The Spencers are actively keeping the art of illusion on the cutting edge.
