The living dead will gather in the heart of the city, Roger McGuire Green, on Sunday, October 11, 2015, beginning at 5pm.
“There will be a little bit of everything: A costume parade for the kids and adults, prizes, and food,” said event organizer Jim MacKenzie. “And to celebrate our tenth birthday, we’re going to make it a ‘Thriller’ night.”
The Asheville Zombiewalk is committed to remaining free for zombie lovers of all ages. But participants are encouraged to bring a few extra dollars for food trucks, the photo booth, or to have makeup done at the event.
The Asheville Zombiewalk requests all participants to please be safe, use common sense, and avoid illegal activities during the walk. It’s fun, it’s a spectacle, but the law still applies to our “Walkers”.
“If you love and support zombies, you don’t want to miss this year’s event. This is our opportunity to celebrate 10 years of undead fun,” said media strategist Sarah Giavedoni.
The Zombiewalk is also continuously accepting donations and sponsorships. For more details, visit ashevillezombiewalk.com.
