A new art exhibition, FOOD, will open June 28th at the Adler Gallery in Posana Restaurant, a contemporary American restaurant in the heart of downtown Asheville.
Fine food deserves good art and curator Constance Vlahoulis has invited many of Asheville’s best artists to create a work of art incorporating the theme FOOD. Styles will be as varied as the artists themselves – representative, atmospheric Impressionism, abstract or whimsical.
The invited artists include a host of Asheville’s best and most beloved painters.
Julie Miles, Stephanie Peterson Jones, Karen Weihs, Mark Bettis, Jacque Fehl, Tarah Singh, Claudia Field, Deb Williams, Patricia Cotterill, Katrina Chenevert, Molly Courcelle, Kristin Foley, Karen K. Brown, Kelly Phipps, Alisa Lumbreras, Misha Schmiedecke, Carol Armstrong, Bee Sieburg, Susan Webb Tregay, Nandine Charlsen, Eli Corbin, Jane Molinelli, Tess Darling, Sahar Fakhoury, Rand Kramer, and Holly DeSaillan.
Styles will range from representational, to atmospheric impression, abstract and whimsical. All works are available for purchase. Artists were asked to incorporate the theme of ‘Food’ in any way they wished.
