Flow – The Physical Body – Positive Thinking

For a few days recently, my body felt like, well – Crud!  I was tired, weak, a little dizzy, and fuzzy-headed.  All I wanted to do was sleep and relax. So, I did. I slept more than usual and stayed positive, because I knew that these down body days happen, and they usually pass. And now, I am feeling back to my old self!

Back in a previous incarnation of this life, when I was the host of an internet spirituality and health program, I often interviewed holistic, integrative professionals who pointed out numerous scientific results touting the healing effects positive thinking can actually have on one’s health and recovery processes. They also pointed out that the inverse is also powerful, in that negative thinking can actually reduce the body’s healing and recovery capabilities.  It is clear that there is a mind-body connection, and that the biochemistry of a calm, happy, and positive mind can improve one’s health.

Since mindfulness meditation is increasingly being accepted as a process one can use to purify, calm, and develop a happier mind, it is no surprise to learn that the “Telegraph” is reporting recent scientific results indicating that mindfulness meditation may actually improve one’s health and immune function.

It would seem that if you want to improve your physical health, in addition to eating right, exercising, etc., also practice mindfulness meditation and positive thinking.

As you will see in your own life, being able to maintain somewhat of a realistic, yet positive mindset actually facilitates your ability to be in the “Flow” zone.

But, as you will read in future posts, positive thinking alone, is NOT enough!
