The Reuter Center Singers will present a series of holiday concerts in December, including a free performance at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 7 at the choir’s home base, the UNC Asheville Reuter Center.



The Reuter Center Singers, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute’s community chorus directed by Chuck Taft with accompanist Nora Vetro, will treat audiences to contemporary holiday songs, traditional choral music and classic carols. There will be a reception following the performance which is free and open to the public.

The Reuter Center Singers will also be featured in The Blue Ridge Orchestra’s Holiday Fantasies, with choral and orchestral favorites for the holiday season, including excerpts from Handel’s Messiah, White Christmas, The First Noel and more. Holiday Fantasies takes place at 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 in A-B Tech’s Ferguson Auditorium, and again at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 6 in the Folk Art Center on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Other ticketed performances for the season include Handel’s Messiah with the Lake Junaluska Singers in “Appalachian Christmas at Lake Junaluska,” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 11 in Stuart Auditorium at Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center, and holiday favorites for the “Candlelight Christmas Evening” at the Biltmore House on Tuesday, December 15.
