Sharing Our Gifts and Passions

The Ideas and People Who Make This – A More Beautiful World

By Kathleen Colburn and Anita Walling

Anita Walling, Midwife to women in the second half of life, birthing their soul’s passion.

Since starting this column back in April of this year, I’ve collaborated with several people that, in different and very special ways, are making this a more beautiful world. Ron and Laurie, Anita, Jack, Nick, Jason, you are beautiful people working hard to help us live more heart-centered lives. You are change makers, expressing your gifts through many aspects of your lives. You are dear to me.

You see, when we share our gifts and passions, when we shine with integrity, we experience our lives aligning with our sacred selves. Anita Walling is one of those change makers. She wants us to, “Imagine a world where we all feel we have permission, and even support, to love what we love, to shine our unique light and to take action from that place.” She has developed a process that helps people recognize their unique perspective, talent and passion, to find what brings joy. To see beyond any unpleasant circumstances. To be powerful, yet gentle and compassionate.

“Finding your joy helps you pinpoint what you wish to create. You’ll feel the peace of knowing your actions and creations are in alignment with your sacred self. You’ll feel renewed energy and trust to pursue your dreams.

“It takes tremendous courage to be vulnerable and true to yourself, especially when you feel you are different or that you don’t fit in.”

Functioning from an authentic place is a process and a practice and Anita uses several tools to “…clear the way to living the greatness that you are.” Very specific flower essences for “self-support” and space clearing, are two tools that shift and align energy.

Another tool is her very beautiful, completely made by hand, Prayer Pots. These individually unique pinch pots are vessels that will amplify what you put in them – a wish, prayer, dream or intention. As a Divine Feminine facilitator Anita guides you through learning to “be still, feel into the depth and move from there, not forcing it, and with less of a need to figure it all out. Then in time you will use your mind to help implement this heartfelt call to action.”
